The implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child is still an issue of concern in Liberia. The justice system of Liberia is weak and mostly focused on adults. Together with our local partner DCI Liberia we want to improve justice for children.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Organization:<\/strong>\u00a0Defence for Children International Liberia (DCI Liberia)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Project:<\/strong>\u00a0Child Rights Advocacy<\/li>\n<li><strong>Country:<\/strong>\u00a0Liberia<\/li>\n<li><strong>Goal:<\/strong>\u00a0Strengthen the justice system by training duty bearers to fortify their role for providing justice for child victims of violence, to raise awareness and to assist children in reporting cases of violence.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Justice for child victims of violence<\/h2>\n<p>In cooperation with local organization DCI-Liberia KidsRights wants to strengthen the justice system in Liberia for child victims of violence. Duty bearers within the justice system will receive training to fortify their roles for providing justice for children who have become victims of violence. Furthermore, children who report violent crimes will receive guidance within the justice system.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h2>Our project partner DCI Liberia<\/h2>\n<p>DCI-Liberia was established in 2009 as a children\u2019s rights organization in order to defend and promote children\u2019s rights and to urge the government of Liberia to adhere to the regional and international commitments and promises they made that involve the rights of the child.
