This means that girls have to quit their education to get married and take care of her husband and their children. They miss a part of their education or some never even go to school at all. This has big influences on themselves, but also on their family, their health and the society. Educated girls earn more, are less likely to get married at a young age, and there is a greater chance that the children of an educated mother will receive education as well.<\/p>\n<h2>Did you know that&#8230;<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Educated women are less likely to die in childbirth.<\/li>\n<li>A girl with an extra year of education can earn 20% more as an adult.<\/li>\n<li>Girls with eight years of education are 4 times less likely to marry before the age of 18.<\/li>\n<li>A child of\u00a0a mother who can read and write is 50% more likely to reach the age of five.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What does KidsRights do?<\/h2>\n<h4>Projects &amp; KidsRights reports on Education<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/archived.kidsrights.webkey8.nl\/uk\/research\/kidsrights-reports\/education-access-denied\/\">Education: Access Denied<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The International Children\u2019s Peace Prize 2013 was awarded to Malala Yousafzai, who has committed her efforts to fighting for education for girls.
