Our research provides a scientific background to our programmes to improve international children\u2019s rights. Every year we publish the KidsRights Index and a KidsRights Report.<\/p>\n<h2>Stimulating the debate on children&#8217;s rights<\/h2>\n<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"560\" height=\"529\" src=\"https:\/\/archived.kidsrights.webkey8.nl\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2023\/05\/Erasmus_University_Rotterdam_Stacked_logo_Colour-560x529.png\" class=\"attachment-medium size-medium\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">KidsRights, together with the prestigious Erasmus University, conducts and publishes research through the KidsRights Index, the only global ranking that annually measures how children\u2019s rights are respected worldwide and to what extent countries are committed to improving the rights of children. It comprises a ranking of all UN member states that have ratified the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and for which sufficient data is available, as of 2025 a total of 194 countries are part of the Index.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">In 2023 over <strong>3.1 billion <\/strong>people were reached through media.<\/p>\n<p>The KidsRights Index is a means for governments, organisations and children to take action for children&#8217;s rights. Based on the results of the Index, KidsRights advises governments on what they can do to improve children\u2019s development.<\/p>\n<h4>View our research<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/archived.kidsrights.webkey8.nl\/uk\/research\/kidsrights-reports\/\">KidsRights reports<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Providing background information for changemakers<\/h2>\n<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"560\" height=\"560\" src=\"https:\/\/archived.kidsrights.webkey8.nl\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2023\/05\/universiteit-leiden-logo-png-transparent-560x560.png\" class=\"attachment-medium size-medium\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\n<p>Each winner of the International Children&#8217;s Peace Prize is dedicated to a specific child rights theme. KidsRights conducts research on these themes to provide background to our work and that of the winners. This research is published in our KidsRights Reports.<\/p>\n<p>The research has been\u00a0conducted in collaboration with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.universiteitleiden.nl\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Leiden University<\/a>.
