Even though the initial founders of The Chaeli Campaign are getting older, child participation and youth leadership remain important principles of the organization. KidsRights wants to support The Chaeli Campaign in maintaining these important principles by encouraging the voice of children and youth leaders.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Organization:<\/strong> The Chaeli Campaign<\/li>\n<li><strong>Project:<\/strong> Pay-it Forward Ambassadors Program<\/li>\n<li><strong>Country:<\/strong> South Africa<\/li>\n<li><strong>Goal:<\/strong>\u00a0To implement social change and to promote\u00a0inclusion and diversity through the empowerment of children and youth as\u00a0ambassadors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Pay it Forward Ambassadors Project<\/h2>\n<p>In the ambassadors project, The Chaeli Campaign trains children between the ages of nine and fourteen on their communication skills, leadership qualities and network capacities. These skills can help the children to make positive changes in their own community.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h2>Our project partner The Chaeli Campaign<\/h2>\n<p>The Chaeli Campaign was founded in 2004 by International\u00a0Children\u2019s Peace Prize Winner 2011, Chaeli Mycroft, her sister and three\u00a0friends.\u00a0They started the Chaeli Campaign to raise R20,000 for Chaeli\u2019s motorized\u00a0wheelchair. The Chaeli Campaign has grown into\u00a0a professional organization with multiple programs\u00a0to support disabled children and their families.\u00a0Their aim is to change the life of one disabled child at a time in a\u00a0significant way.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Chaeli Campaign was founded by five girls of 6 to 12 years old.
